Juvenile Justice System Is The Fundamental System

The Juvenile Correction System is the fundamental system used to address and deal with youth who are caught and convicted of crimes, such as murder, robbery, and aggravated assault. The juvenile justice system gets involved in delinquent behavior through police, court, and correctional commitment. Throughout history, many individuals have tried to change the policies and process of the juvenile correction system. Some agree with the structure of incarceration and the treatment these teens â€Å"deserve† for breaking the law. Others agree on the rehabilitation of the youth back into society. There are many different perspectives the general public has towards this system. The juvenile justice system is built with many advantages and†¦show more content†¦From there, the law enforcement officer will decide to send the situation further into the justice system or bypass it into alternative programs. Alternative programs include boot camp, cognitive behavioral therapy/trea tment, substance abuse treatment, home detention, counseling services, different high schools, and many other various approaches. A juvenile probation officer is contacted to be assigned to the teen. The teen is defined by the risk assessment which means he or she can be released to their parents/guardians, can be placed on home detention, or be detained by DJJ, Department of Juvenile Justice. The juvenile must appear before the judge within 24 hours for detention review also known as â€Å"first appearance†. In 1899, Cook County, Illinois established the first juvenile court in the United States. What s more, the juvenile is then appointed a lawyer by the court. The attorney will receive all the facts, information, a list of witnesses, and a list of evidence to work the case. The juvenile can plea not guilty, guilty, or nolo contendere, this signifies that the juvenile is not pleading guilty or not guilty. Either way, the case will be tried on the base of the evidence presen ted. If the juvenile is found guilty of his or her offense, the court bailiff will fingerprint them and arrest him or her. Morality And Ethical Behaviour Within The Human Population

Morality and ethical behaviour within the human population is vital in order to conceive a healthy society. Although throughout history, morals and ethics have been used interchangeably, they are in fact not one in the same. Morality is within oneself and develops over a period of time as a result of meeting and resolving moral issues as they come forth, whereas ethics is essentially a moral compass, or a set of rules one follows throughout the course of their life (Crebert, Patrick, Cragnolini, 2004). From a personal perspective, I believe each individual has several distinguishing moral codes they live by, even if they may not distinctly know it. The implications of this in the real world is vast, affecting various interested partie s around the world. Not only do employees, consumers and shareholders feel misguided and lied to, but also society as a whole. Truthfulness and transparency are fundamental concepts of morality that I use to define my life, and should have been executed in the case of Volkswagen. If they were transparent with their fundamental operations from the beginning, these corporate lies would never have occurred. The Volkswagen scandal has caused, and will further cause, many consequences affecting major associated parties. Consequences of this scandal extenuate to the individual, organisational and social components of society. The individual consequences caused are mainly comprised of consumers and how they have been affected. Consumers, overall, have felt that they have been blatantly lied to and misguided by Volkswagen (Northern Daily Leader, 2015). This demonstrates that Volkswagen seemingly do not possess the moral trait of transparency amongst its operations with various stakeholders. My Life For A Small Group Program - 923 Words

It always seemed a bit clichà © when people speak or write on specific events that change how they viewed themselves and their world. At the surface, I often discard comments of people who see just one event changing their lives for (typically) better or worse. Events are not alone, but are part of a system of chances and choices made by ourselves or others. These choices come together and form what we perceive as a singular event. Despite this rather cold and analytical belief, I always secretly envied people who have these interventions in their everyday lives. The last major event for me occurred a number of years ago when I was robbed of two people who I loved and adored: my Grandparents. Since losing them, I have felt like a†¦show more content†¦Three times, I looked back to see what it was. The gorgeous bricks of the Wall stood in-front of me. After the final time, I just decided to stare at the Wall and then I felt the hands of my Grandparents on my right shoulde r. Through their touch I felt so much pain, stress, questions and anger escape my body. I finished the prayer and sensed that something had shifted within me. My friend finished his prayers and we began walking out of the complex. Right as we were leaving, I saw a very important Jewish ritual being offered a meter or two away. It was the putting on of the tefillin. Something within me called to put on the tefillin. It is important to mention that the last time I put tefillin on was before my Grandparent s deaths. I told my friend for us to quickly do it before we left. While it was being wrapped on me, I felt the leather straps and the holiness seemingly pouring onto me and began to smile. I could not help but laugh as every part of me knew that I was having one of the events . My smile continued as everyone around discovered that the friend had never put on tefillin before. As he was putting it on and reciting the prayers, I re-read the Shema. When both of us finished, we sang in joy of the friend s accomplishment. The event was not finished. Child development Outcomes The Peekaboo game will stimulate the sense of the children, build their gross motor skills, strengthen their visual tracking ability, encourage their social development and the most important of all, the game will tickle their sense of humor. The game will also teach the children about object permanence; a notion that even though they cannot see something for example the smiles of their nursery school teacher, in real sense it still exists. Safety precautions We should not use objects that may cause some danger to the children. The classroom where the activity is done should be clean before the play is started. The teacher should keenly observe the children so that they do not disturb each other. Preparation needed Planning Time required: 11am to 12pm Preparation of the classroom where the activity is going to take place by making it clean enough for the safety of children because the toddlers like picking things from the floor. Bringing in the required baby dolls for the game. Implementing activity I will play the peekaboo by covering my face using my hands. The toddlers are always fascinated whenever they look at faces. They love looking at someones face more than anything else in the world. I would also try some other variations like hiding the childrens favorite toy somewhere in the classroom like a cupboard and then have them to find it for them to reveal it in a flourish way. When they manage to get it, I will reward them with a bigger peekaboo and many more smiles. Reflecting The 6 Children enjoyed the peekaboo play. Some children had different difficulty when they were looking for the toy that I had hidden in the cupboard. However, the peekaboo play enhanced the thinking capacity of the children. From my observation, many of them enjoyed playing the game very much. Recommendation It is important for the teachers to be encouraged to play the peekaboo game with their children to enhance their sense of humor and also their thinking capacity.
